This year, our three doctoral students Josef Huber, Inka Hahn and Sarah Hasslacher were able to take part in the LCA Workshop 2024, which took place in Stuttgart from September 24th to 26th. Under the motto “Science and Industry for Sustainability”, the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics IBP
and the University of Stuttgart – Institute for Acoustics and Building Physics IABP organized a forum for scientists to discuss applied research questions on life cycle analysis (LCA). In addition to LCA lectures in the disciplines of e.g., construction, data science, bioeconomy, power-to-X and aerospace, representatives from various industries gave the participants insights into their work. The evening program included a visit to the SFB1244 demonstrator, the ARENA2036 research campus and a dinner with a relaxed get-together.
